After Patricia Salkovic gave Brauweiler an early lead, Hagsfeld controlled the match more and more and took profit of some host team stupidities like Frauke Renner, who was sent off in the first half for abusive speech just minutes after she had to cause a penalty shot. Finally, Hagsfeld's victory was just too easy for the guests.
