After an early lead by the favourites, Germany managed to get the lead in powerplay shortly before the buzzer. Germany even managed to lead by three (4-1) after five minutes, but caught the 4-2 in the sixth minute. The hosts survived a two-man-shorthanded situation, but Denmark got the goal at the end of a large bench penalty of Mallwitz. Germany defended the lead until the second break. Unfortunately, I was not able to watch the third half, in which Germany scored two goals in the final minute after Denmark started well in the third half and already lead 7-4.
