Estonia - Slovenia: M. Kunnap/J.Zopp - L.Gregorc/G.Zemlja 6:2 3:6 3:6 7:6(5) 6:3

The Slovenian team, who replaced Blaz Kavlic by Grega Zemlja in the doubles lineup, got broken very early in the first set. The Estonian team played very stable, while the guest team did not seem to act together well. Hence, the first set was a quite easy defeat for Mait Kunnap and Jürgen Zopp. In second and third set, the Slovenian team got better and better. Especially in third set, the just committed very few errors - for example, there was not a single break point for the Kunnap and Zopp in the third set. After being 1:2 sets behind, the Estonians got under huge pressure, but were able to stand it very well. The even managed to break Luka Gregorc's serve very early in the fourth set. Though they had several chances to break Zemlja as well and hence lead by four games, they failed and even got broken when Kunnap served for the fourth set. The fourth set tie-break became a real thriller with Zopp finally scoring the deciding "mini-break" to force a fifth set.
In this final set, in which the Slovenian team struggled with the umpires several times and were doubtedly not penalized for their unsportsmanlike behavior in some situations, the match was very even-strengthed before Gregorc got defeated at own serve in the seventh game. Estonia did not have any major problem to preserve this lead and thus caused a major sensation putting Slovenia under huge pressure.
